We are pleased to announce that Give a Gig, the new strand of Musicians Give, is being backed by singer-songwriter Alison Clarkson (Betty Boo) and tenor John Mark Ainsley.

The campaign encourages musicians to help other musicians in need by donating their gig fee. All musicians of any genre and background, whether young, old, amateur or professional, are invited to get involved in order to raise much needed funds.

Alison Clarkson, better known as 90’s pop artist Betty Boo, says of the campaign, “Being a musician is amazing but it’s not always easy. Getting involved in Give a Gig means we can all help when things get tough.”

John Mark Ainsley, who is currently appearing in Billy Budd in Amsterdam and recently flew back to London to appear at the Musicians Benevolent Fund’s A Date to Remember, says, “I work with musicians every day. It’s a wonderful profession. By giving a gig I know that I’m helping a fellow musician.”

Thanks to their generous support, the campaign has been successfully launched.
