musicians IN CRISIS

Musicians in crisis

Life as a professional musician is intensely demanding. There is huge competition for work and musicians can spend a lifetime in the pursuit of excellence, giving their all to every performance. It is often a precarious career where earnings can be very low and unpredictable.

This means when crisis hits, there is often no safety net – whether that’s because of serious illness, accident or emotional breakdown. We need your help to give musicians in crisis the personal intensive support they need, in confidence, when they need it most.

How will your donation make a difference?

* £250 means a musician can get help with performance anxiety
* £500 will pay for physiotherapy sessions to help a musician back to work
* £1,000 will buy lightweight music equipment so a musician with severe back problems can carry on working
* £5,000 will buy a specially adapted electric wheelchair
* £10,000 will pay costs through months of chemotherapy
* £25,000 will cover the cost of intensive in-patient treatment at a rehabilitation clinic

We need to raise £4m to fund the Musicians in Crisis programme. This will provide crucial support for more than 100 musicians a year for the next five years.

Give today and we guarantee your donation will help musicians when they need it most.
